Mahara Basics

Demonstration given in January 2013

This was a basic Mahara demonstration, using the examples that I had collated in the Mahara examples page and the updated Mahara Student Guide on the Mahara help page.

Two Maharas

Coventry University is currently using two versions of Mahara:

1. attached to the Moodle Hub that was used at the beginning of the 2012-13 academic year and the Moodle 2 development server. 
2. attached to the new Moodle 2 available from January 2013.

Exporting Mahara

It is possible to export, but not to import to an existing Mahara account. Here's some more information on some alternatives that can be done. Here is an example of a set of Mahara pages that have been exported.
